On Tuesday, the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office said it does not oppose a request by former President Donald Trump’s legal team to delay sentencing.
Originally Trump’s sentencing was scheduled for July 11th, just four days before the Republican National Convention where will be officially declared the Republican nominee for President.
The prosecution wrote:

the prosecution from the trial wrote: “Although we believe defendant’s arguments to be without merit, we do not oppose his request for leave to file and his putative request to adjourn sentencing pending determination of his motion,”
Trump’s legal team has filed a motion to overturn Trump’s felony conviction for criminal acts prior to the 2016 election, after yesterday’s landmark ruling by the Supreme Court. In the decision in the case Trump v. United States, the court ruled that acts performed while President which can be considered official acts, are immune from criminal prosecution. Other acts, which are unofficial, cannot be.
This ruling is mostly expected to impact Trump’s trial regarding January 6th, but Trump’s legal team is hoping it can impact this case as well.

I am not understanding what this supposed crime has to do with Trump’s presidency and why it should be considered immune.
Because if Trump as ex-president doesn’t have immunity, none of the previous presidents have immunity. Obama, the Bushes and Clinton who were involved in some of the most heinous crimes in American history be prosecuted.
The problem is, nobody, including the judges and jury have any clue what “crimes” Trump committed. They’re taking the time now to figure it out themselves. They wouldn’t ch”v say he’s totally innocent, so they say he’s immune.
This is terrible. Trump should resign immediately.
