Two IDF Reservists Killed in Gaza

The IDF Spokesperson’s Unit officially revealed this morning the identities of two soldiers who lost their lives in combat in the Gaza Strip. Master Sergeant (res.) Zechariah Pesach Haber, 32, hailing from Yerushalayim , fell in battle in the northern Gaza Strip. Sergeant Major (res.) Yair Katz, 34, from Cholon, lost his life in a battle in the northern Gaza Strip.

a reservist from the 52nd Battalion sustained severe injuries during the battle in the northern Gaza Strip. Additionally, a reservist medic faced serious injuries in the Gaza border region.

Kibbutz Be’eri announced the deaths of Itay Svirsky and Yossi Sharabi on Tuesday evening. The two men were kidnapped from the Kibbutz during the October 7 massacre and had been held hostage in Gaza for approximately three months.

Hamas, on Sunday evening, released a video marking the 100-day anniversary of the October 7 massacre, featuring Svirsky, Sharabi, and a third hostage, Noa Argamani. The terrorist group asserted that information about the fate of the three hostages would be revealed on Monday. However, when the second video was released on Monday evening, Hamas claimed that Svirsky and Sharabi were killed in an Israeli air strike.

Following the release of the second video, IDF Spokesperson Daniel Hagari expressed concerns about the well-being of the two hostages, indicating a fear that they may no longer be alive.
