The disruption of routine immunization programs during the COVID-19 pandemic is contributing to a “perfect storm” for measles and other preventable diseases, according to the World Health Organization and UNICEF. Measles cases spiked 80 percent in the first two months of 2022, compared with a year earlier, and the two UN agencies are bracing for more serious outbreaks of the often-lethal disease.
“Measles is more than a dangerous and potentially deadly disease. It is also an early indication that there are gaps in our global immunization coverage, gaps vulnerable children cannot afford,” said Catherine Russell, the UNICEF executive director. “It is encouraging that people in many communities are beginning to feel protected enough from COVID-19 to return to more social activities. But doing so in places where children are not receiving routine vaccination creates the perfect storm for the spread of a disease like measles.” Read more at CNN.

The measles outbreak can only be for those who got the MMR injection as their injection expired 3 years after taking it. Those who had natural measles are protected for life.

The study shows that measles deaths were virtually nonexistent prior to introduction of vaccine, as was confirmed by doctors and nurses who claim, “In all my years I never knew anyone or heard of anyone who died from this childhood disease as it was virtually unheard of in the U.S. for anyone to die from measles.” In 2012 almost 1,000 claims have been reported of injuries and deaths of the MMR vaccination while no deaths were reported for more than 10 years from natural measles infection.
Agree. Measles is a terribly deadly disease. Who can forget how many Frum people from our community who died during the last measles pandemic, before Covid came and distracted us? Unlike cancer, one that gets measles is an instant death with no cure. You people better take this measles pandemic seriously.
