German investigators of Nazi war crimes said they have identified about 20 former guards from the Majdanek death camp who are still alive and may be guilty of accessory to murder.
Federal prosecutor Kurt Schrimm, told reporters Tuesday his special Nazi war crimes office is preparing to recommend that state prosecutors pursue charges against the suspects in the next two weeks. Schrimm’s office has no power to file charges itself. Read more here.
