Chicago police have charged two men and two women for a Facebook Live video posted on Wednesday that appears to show them torturing a man and yelling at him.
The assailants, who are black, were purportedly seen in the video beating a man, who is white and has “mental health challenges,” while shouting “[Profanity] Donald Trump! [Profanity] white people!” At one point the young man’s scalp is cut with a knife. Jordan Hill, Tesfaye Cooper, Brittany Covington, and Tanishia Covington were charged with a variety of felony charges, including aggravated kidnapping, hate crime, aggravated unlawful restraint, aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, and others. They at one point allegedly forced him to drink water from a toilet during the video. The film has since been removed from the social networking site over its content. The victim was hospitalized after the incident. Police Superintendent Eddie Johnson called the footage “sickening.” Read more at FOX 32.
