A 65-year-old male resident of Elad was detained for harassing young charedi girls traveling on the Elad – Petach Tikvah bus route, Kikar reports.
The incident happened on Wednesday when the girls stepped onto the bus. The man began to harass them, and didn’t stop his obnoxious behavior until he was apprehended by the police, who were called by frustrated passengers. The man was caught after a chase by the Elad community police and inspectors.
He was taken to police headquarters in Rosh Ha’Ayin, where it will be determined if he will be brought before a judge to extend his remand. The police are checking his background to discover if he is behind other similar incidents.
