Video: Beck at the Kosel: This is Where Human Rights Were Born

glenn-beck[Video below.] American broadcaster Glenn Beck held an inspirational rally to pep up the Jewish people at the Davidson Center near the Kosel Plaza today. The rally was attended by thousands and viewed by many more worldwide on Beck’s web-based television station.

“Everything we know about human rights and real civilization came from this place, this land,” he said. “Whether you live by 613 commandments, 10 commandments, or one sweet Golden Rule, it all started here. It all started here – the throne of G-d.”

“When the world turns its back on Israel and the Jewish people, the world turns its back on human rights. Without the Jewish people, humanity would never know that every single individual life has dignity, that every single life is sacred. That G-d names every star and knows every soul. That was G-d’s message to Abraham. That was G-d’s message to Moses. That is the message of the Jewish people to the world and by their very existence they teach it to us, every single day.”

Beck called on the viewers not to wait for others to solve the problems that occupy them. “Who will protect your rights better?” he asked with passion. “A king? A president or you? Who will protect the truth? A reporter? A producer? Or you?”

  1. Okay, at this point I am thinking Beck is stalking us. He is appearing more and more like an evangelical in sheeps clothing. The problem for me with that is their seeming respect could not be more hollow since they in no way have any tolerance for our view on our own religion. They do not share the same definition of Judaism at all. Thanks; but no thanks.

  2. We should be appreciative of anyone who support Israel.

At the same time, it’s important to remember that Glenn Beck is a character actor. He was smart to go after this under-served conservative segment, and he may well believe much of what he says. Nobody cries or cares that much off camera, it’s a show.

  3. i dont trust him. if he had spoken as a noahide who returned to the 7 laws of Hashem, perhaps it would have been different. perhaps he needs ratings for his talk show.

  4. To “Bob Turner for Congress” in Comment #3:

Yes, our Torah HaKdosha DOES teach us that we must be “pro-life” and that abortion IS a very terrible crime.

  5. Mr. Glen Beck is a very good decent person who has been promoting good basic moral values. He has been further trying to alert the public of the severely grave dangers that are facing the US, the Am Yisroel, and the whole civilized world. (It is thus quite terrible that the TV network “FoxNews” stopped putting on his daily show.) He is thus making this remarkable program in Eretz Yisroel to garner more support for Am Yisroel. Of course, he himself is a very devout Christian, and so, understandably, what he does IS from the philosophy and point of view of Christianity.

  6. #7, so why dont you seem to understand that he has no toleration for our view of Eretz Yisroel, or seem to be offended about how steadfast he would be about his view of Eretz Yisroel. The two views are in no way compatible. The only Beck I care to hear is Jeff.
