New York – Congressman Peter King plans to visit Israel and show his support as the nation’s conflict with Hamas continues.
“We’ll only be there for three days, but during those three days from morning till night, we are gonna be working completely, almost around the clock,” the lawmaker said.
King is expected to meet with Israeli officials, and tourthe tunnels as well as places hit by violence, Smith reported.
The trip, organized by the New York Board of Rabbis, also includes former Gov. David Paterson in the delegation.
“This is not a Republican or Democratic issue,” King said. “It’s an American issue. It’s to show that there is no partisan divide.”
King said he wants the Israeli people to know U.S. elected officials stand with them and that their cause is just.
