Daf Yomi Begins Sanhedrin

Lomdei Daf Hayomi worldwide have started Maseches Sanhedrin, the next masechta in Seder Nezikin, today, having wrapped up Maseches Bava Basra yesterday.

The learners of Daf Yomi are now making their way through the thirteenth cycle of Daf Yomi, following the Twelfth Siyum Hashas of Daf Yomi, which took place on August 1, 2012 at MetLife Stadium in Rutherford, New Jersey, with 92,000 people in attendance.

With 2,711 pages in the Gemara, one cycle of Daf Yomi takes about 7 years and 5 months.

The current cycle will conclude, iy”H, on Shabbos, January 4, 2020.
