In a meeting organized by the FJCC, New York City Comptroller Scott Stringer met with communal leaders of the Flatbush Jewish community, yeshiva administrators, and executives from Flatbush based social service and support organizations.

The discussion ranged on issues and concerns to the local Flatbush community including security, housing, taxes, and city agency accountability. The conversation also focused on the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement that strives to end international financial investment in Israel.

Mr. Stringer is his role as NYC’s chief financial officer, proclaimed his deep opposition to BDS and committed to working with the community to find creative ways to engage younger people to combat the movement.

The meeting was held at Mesivta Yeshiva Rabbi Chaim Berlin. The Flatbush Jewish Community Coalition, FJCC unites and represents the greater Flatbush Jewish community, New York’s largest, on communal, civic and political concerns.
