The army has released an official timeline for the recent shooting at Fort Hood. According to officials, Specialist Ivan A. Lopez drove his own car to three separate buildings over a period of eight minutes beginning around 4 p.m., and shot at least 35 rounds at fellow troops. Those shots ended up killing three unarmed soldiers, and wounding 16 others who were either standing outside, driving a car, or sitting at desks.
Lopez, 34, hit two buildings related to his daily life – his transportation unit’s headquarters and an office where he worked. Upon being confronted by a police officer, he shot himself in the head and died. Read more at the New York Times.
