House Drops Confederate Flag Ban for Vet Cemeteries

The House of Representatives on Thursday dropped a ban on Confederate flags from cemeteries run by the Department of Veterans Affairs.

The measure was initially passed in May. Most Republicans voted against the May legislation, but House Speaker Paul Ryan and Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy supported it. In negotiations Thursday, the provision was dropped. Read more at Politico.
