The deadline for a final Iran nuclear agreement is expected to be extended to July 1, 2015, according to Western diplomats. The talks will aim to secure a political agreement by March. The first round of negotiations ended today without securing a nuclear deal from Iran.
Hours before talks were set to expire, a senior U.S. official said Secretary of State John Kerry proposed to Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif that the two sides start discussing post-deadline talks in their latest meeting since Kerry arrived in Vienna three days ago to add his diplomatic weight to the talks.
