Israeli Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu announced on Erev Yom Tov that Israel will renew the transfer of the tax funds it collects for the Palestinian Authority, in response to requests from Washington.
Israel froze the tax revenues after Palestine earned recognition as a nonmember observer state at the UN in November. Close to a billion shekels were confiscated to offset the PA’s debt to the Israel Electric Corporation and other Israeli businesses.
