Lakewood: Mishpachos Displaced by Friday Night Fire March 23, 2013  8:55 pm

fireLakewood, NJ – Four frum families were displaced last night after a fire damaged their homes on Whisper Court in the Whispering Pines development off of Squankum Road on Lakewood’s northern border.

Over 20 firefighters were at to the scene just before 10 p.m., and a dozen firefighters returned to the scene 12 hours later when the fire started up again.

It wasn’t clear today what caused the initial blaze or why it started up again. One source attributed the fire to a fan in a bathroom.

About 30 people fled when the fire first broke out. Boruch Hashem, there were no injuries. Four families were displaced.

One of the houses hosted a local minyan.

Yes it Was the bobov. Minyan Bit why does this happen so often on Friday night. Maybe because of unprotected flames But b"h they all got out
