Lakewood: One Person Shot in Coventry

Lakewood, NJ – One person was shot on Williamsburg Lane in Coventry Square in Lakewood, NJ, this afternoon, police said.

The man, who is in his lower 20s, was taken to Monmouth Medical Center’s Southern Campus, formerly Kimball Medical Center, Detective Sgt. Greg Staffordsmith said, adding that he did not know the man’s condition.

Multiple shots were heard when the shooting took place at about 2:30 p.m.

The Star Ledger reports that authorities are seeking a white Infinity with license plate number Y50-DXC. The shooting suspect is a black male, 25 years old, 5’06″, approximately 170 pounds, with medium length dread locks. He was last seen wearing a black shirt and pants and white sneakers on Kennedy Boulevard.
