22-year-old Thomas DiMassimo was arrested after trying to jump on the stage at Republican Donald Trump’s campaign rally in Dayton, Ohio.
Now, the AP reports, DiMassimo allegedly told police that it was all pre-planned.
The Dayton Daily News says that the police report states that DiMassimo told officers that he’d given his car keys to his friend at the rally assuming that he’d be arrested.
DiMassimo, of Fairborn, was charged with misdemeanor inducing panic and disorderly conduct. He was released on bail.
According to the DDN, he said that planned to grab the microphone and scream that Trump is a racist but that didn’t intend to injure anyone.
