New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg is currently visiting the Mountain Fruit supermarket in Flatbush, Brooklyn, to greet Jewish shoppers and wish his constituents a happy and healthy new year on the eve of Erev Rosh Hashanah. Hatzolah volunteers have been joined by a Shomrim truck and volunteers outside the store to ensure the safety of Hizzoner, who is making his way through store packed with consumers making their last-minute pre-Yom Tov purchases. Numerous news stations are on hand covering the Mayor’s visit to the store, located in the heart of Flatbush at Avenue M and East 16th Street, adjacent to the train station. Photos and videos will be posted later on.
