Mayor: Yerushalayim Is One Of The Safest Cities In The World Due To ‘Zero Misuse’ Of Guns

Despite the constant threat of terror in Israel’s capital city, Yerushalayim Mayor Nir Barkat has announced that “Yerushalayim is one of the safest cities in the world.”

Supporting his claim, the mayor stated that the “murder rate in Yerushalayim is only one per every 100,000 residents, which is far lower than most major cities.”

Citing the character of Yerushalmis, Barkat noted that “people care very much about one another” and “look out for one another’s well-being” more than in most American cities.

  1. Dah, I wonder why? Doesn’t Yerushalayim have one of the highest concentration of religious Jews in the world? So they go by Torah which teaches ואהבת לרעך כמוך, and even the non-religious living in the capital are influenced by it. The 1 in 100,000 killed are probally the Arab minority which are part of the statistics of Yerushalayim.

  2. …and nothing to do with Hashem watching over a city with multitudes of Yeshiva’s and Kollelim with non-stop learning 24/7. How misguided.

  3. One third of Jerusalem are chareidim. One third arabs who do the murders. And one third a mix of Jews from dati settler types to secular.
