During the reading of the Torah on Shabbos at the Nadvorna Bais Medrash of Bnei Brak, the Nadvorna Rebbe noticed a pesul in the Sefer Torah.
The Rebbe, who served as the baal kriah, noticed during the third aliyah that some of the words were not written properly. The Rebbe instructed the gabbai of the bais medrash, Rav Menachem Elbaum, to take out a different Sefer Torah.
The oleh to the aliyah happened to be a chosson who will be getting married this week.
The Sefer Torah was first dedicated last year in memory of a Be’er Yaakov of Nadvorna, marking his fourth yahrtzeit.
Meanwhile, preparations are being made for a hachnosas Sefer Torah in honor of a new Sefer Torah set to be completed in the month of Adar.

Ok so?
Happens all the time. Not very newsworthy.
There’s even a legend, which actually came true, of a ba’al hagbah finding a pesul as he was lifting up the Torah.
Wow! What important news. Thanks for keeping us updated…..
And what is so newsworthy about this? Anyone who has been a baal koreh for any length of time will have this happen.
Wow! What a story!!! Who would have ever thought that a Rebbe could find a psul in a sefer Torah?? Truly amazing!!
Must have been a very slow news Shabbos.
