After reportedly stating in the US that he would not rule out unilateral moves in Yehuda and Shomron, Israeli Education Minister Naftali Bennett and other members of the coalition criticized Israeli Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu.
Following this, Netanyahu clarified that he does not intend to unilaterally withdraw from Jewish communities over the green line.
“I didn’t speak about unilateral withdrawal but about the possibility of taking unilateral steps just because these will strengthen the security and national interests of Israel in the face of the terror groups,” he emphasized. “The interpretation of my remarks yesterday in the US was mistaken and not correct. I won’t uproot Jewish communities. This mistake won’t be implemented again.”
