yaakov-ostreicherYesterday, in Bolivia, Judge Zenon Rodriguez and Judge Wilson Arevalo  were indicted for the crime of dereliction of duty in the case of Yanky Ostreicher.

Gustavo Cespedes, one of the major players involved in the Ostreicher Case who is  detained in the Palmasola prison, declared last week to the Attorney General that additional people were linked to “The Red” – the network of extortion –  including former Judge Rodriguez and Judge Arevalo.

Rodriguez, formerly of the 9th Court, released Ostreicher on bail on September 23, 2011 only to reverse his own decision on September 30, 2011. The reversal was filed before the paperwork for the release was completed; therefore, Yanky never left the prison. Subsequently, Rodriguez was promoted to the appellate court – one would wonder why – and the case was assigned to Judge Wilson Arevalo who continuously postponed Yanky’s scheduled hearings.

  1. When is Rubashkin’s judge getting indicted? Sadly, there is more chance of justice in a third-world country than in a “medina shel chesed”.
