Nissan announced plans today to release self-driving vehicles by 2020 and will begin testing them in 2014.
Having accomplished its goal of creating zero-emission vehicles by 2010, Nissan’s CEO said the company is working with several universities around the world-from MIT to the University of Tokyo-to develop technology for “Autonomous Drive.”
Of course, Google is also working separately on developing autonomous-driving vehicles and testing them, though the tech giant has not set a date when they will be on the market. Read more at NBC News.
