North, South Korean Leaders Meet

north korea south koreaOfficials from both North and South Korea met in the border village of Panmunjom Saturday to try and ease tension. Pyongyang extended the offer Friday to meet in same village where the truce that ended the Korean War was signed in 1953.

North Korea had previously set a 5 p.m. deadline for South Korea to stop propaganda speakers or face “strong military action.” Read more at the Washington Post.
