Lake Superior State University’s annual List of Words Banished from the Queen’s English for Misuse, Overuse and General Uselessness is out and please pay heed, WGNTV reports.
The tongue-in-cheek, non-binding (obviously) list includes “you, sir,” ”focus,” ”town hall meeting,” ”historic,” ”echo chamber,” ”on fleek,” ”bigly,” ”listicle,” “guesstimate,” ”ghost,” ”selfie drone,” ”manicured,” ”post-truth,” ”disruption” and “831” — a texting encryption of “I love you” (eight letters, three words, one meaning).
