Rabbi Leibel Gleiberman z”l

candle-small4It is with great sadness that we report the passing of Rabbi Chaim Yehuda Leib (Leibel) Gleiberman z”l, a noted talmid chochom whose passing leaves a void among the families and friends of Yeshivas Rabbeinu Chaim Berlin and the Stoliner Bais Medrash.

Rabbi Gleiberman leaves behind a wonderful family of bnei Torah, including his sons, R’ Yossi, R’ Baruch Simcha, R’ Meir, R’ Moshe and R’ Eliyahu.

The levaya will take place today, at 1:30 p.m., at Shomrei Hachomos Chapels, located at 4208 Ft. Hamilton Parkway in Boro Park, Brooklyn.  The procession will stop at the Stoliner Bais Medrash at approximately 2:45 p.m. en route to John F Kennedy Airport for a 7 p.m. flight. Kevurah will take place in Eretz Yisroel.

Yehi zichro boruch.

  1. I never heard a hesped where the children (not just one child) said they never saw the father do anything wrong, never raised his voice , never came within 5 minutes of being late to minyan,

You left out Yisroel Duvid Glieberman

  2. Boruch Daiyan HaEmes!!!

I knew him very well! When I lived in Boro Park for a couple of years in the early 1980’s, I ate several Shabbos and Yom Tov meals at his house! It was wrong that I didn’t keep up with him after that.

He was a real Ben Torah-Ba’al HaBaiyis. He was part of a Daf Yomi Shiur in the evenings at the Noviminsker Beis Medrosh. His house was very plain with no fancy luxuries.

Mention needs to be made also of, Yibodlem L’Chaiyim, his sons-in-laws, who are also fine Bnei Torah. One of them (at that time) was learning in the Kollel of the (Brooklyn) Mirrer Yeshiva.

May he be a Mayleitz Yosher for all of us.

  3. #3- Shachris is at 7am, Mincha at 6:30 and Marriv is at 8pm

#4- He actually had 3 more sons: R’ Asher, R’ Yaakov Mordechai and R’ Yisroel Dovid.
There are also three daughters: Mrs. Leah Gottlieb, Mrs. Sima Brocha Shiener and Mrs. Tzippy Stafsky.

    #5- yes
