[Levayah livestream below.] It is with great sadness that Matzav.com reports the petirah of Rebbetzin Temi Kamenetsky, a”h. She was 92.
Rebbetzin Kamenetsky was the wife of Maran Hagaon Harav Shmuel Kemenetsky, rosh yeshiva of Yeshiva of Philadelphia and member of the Moetzes Gedolei Hatorah of Agudas Yisroel of America. Raised in Brooklyn, she was a daughter of R’ and Mrs. Mordechai and Charna Raizel Brooks.
The rebbetzin was a supremely devoted eizer kenegdo, devoting herself to her husband with outstanding dedication.
The rebbetzin is survived by her husband, and by a wonderful family of rabbonim, rebbetzins and noted marbitzei Torah. Her children include Rav Sholom Kamenetsky, Rav Avrohom Kamenetsky, Rav Dov Kamenetsky, Rav Ze’ev Kamenetsky, Rav Dovid Kamenetsky, Rav Aharon Kamenetsky, Reb Eliyahu Kamenetsky, Mrs. Ettil Berkowitz (wife of Rav Tzvi Berkowitz), Mrs. Kelemer (wife of Rav Shalom Kelemer), Mrs. Schechter (wife of Rav Shaya Schechter), and Mrs. Moskowitz, wife of Rav Yechiel Moskowitz.
The levayah will take place at 10:30 a.m. at the Yeshiva of Philadelphia Yeshivah, located at 6063 Drexel Road in Philadelphia, PA. Kevurah will follow at Mount Judah Cemetery, located at 81-14 Cypress Avenue in Ridgewood, NY.
