Report: Belgium Was Warned of Terror Attack

Belgian agencies—and other Western intelligence agencies—reportedly knew detailed information about Tuesday’s bombings before they happened, including that the airport and metro station would be targets.

Information available to the various agencies allegedly predicted with high certainty that the attacks were to happen soon.

Haaretz reports that the attacks were likely planned at ISIS’ headquarters in Raqqa, Syria. The arrest of Paris attack suspect Salah Abdeslam may have caused Tuesday’s attacks to be moved forward, with militants likely working more quickly out of concern that Abdeslam was cooperating with European officials. Read more at Haaretz.
