Senate Democrats Call On Franken To Resign

3

A majority of Senate Democrats on Wednesday called for the resignation of Sen. Al Franken, D-Minn., after determining that they could no longer tolerate his presence in their midst as a growing number of people accused him of harassment.

Franken’s office said he would make an announcement about his future on Thursday. Minnesota Public Radio reported Wednesday afternoon that Franken planned to resign, but Franken’s office quickly denied it on Twitter. “Not accurate,” the tweet stated. “No final decision has been made and the Senator is still talking with his family.”

    • Bingo! It’s a lot easier to shecht one of your own on the altar of virtuousness when there is no real cost, i.e. loss of the Senate seat, to your party. If Minnesota had a Republican governor, you betcha the voices calling for Senator Franken to resign would be a lot less strident. And don’t make the mistake of thinking the Republicans wouldn’t play the exact same game.

  1. They all play games and they’re all immoral The difference is the liberals think everybody has to be immoral whereas the Republicans don’t feel the need to push immorality
