It is with great sadness that Matzav.com reports the passing of Rav Yosef Rosenblum zt”l, who passed away Monday night, leil Acharon Shel Pesach, at Maimonides Medical Center in Boro Park. He was 89 years old.
Rav Rosenblum, one of the zekan roshei hayeshivos in the United States, was the rosh yeshiva of Yeshiva Shaarei Yosher in Boro Park, Brooklyn.
Born in Belgium, Rav Rosenblum learned under Rav Aharon Leib Shteinman in Switzerland and later became a talmid of Rav Aharon Kotler zt”l at Bais Medrash Govoah in Lakewood, NJ.
Rav Rosenblum was sought out for his daas Torah and hadrachah by thousands in the Torah world.
The levaya will be held on Isru Chag, Wednesday morning, at 10 a.m., at Yeshiva Shaarei Yosher, located at 4102 16th Avenue in Boro Park, followed by kevurah at the Vizhnitzer Bais Hachaim in Monsey, NY.
