Congregation Shaaray Tefila in Lawrence will be offering shiurim throughout the day of Tisha B’Av to the entire Far Rockaway-Five Towns communities Shacharis at 8 a.m. will be followed by a presentation by the rov, Rabbi Dovid Weinberger, and Rabbi Yaacov Schwartz clarifying the Kinnos. Rabbi Weinberger will be giving a shiur on Megillas Eichah at the conclusion of Kinnos until chatzos.
The afternoon will feature a number of inspiring videos and shiurim:
2:15 p.m. – Chofetz Chaim video presentation featuring Rabbi Yissocher Frand and Rabbi Ephraim E. Shapiro
4 p.m. – Project Inspire presents “One Soul”
5 p.m. – Chofetz Chaim video presentation featuring Rabbi Dovid Orlofsky and Rabbi Eli Mansour
6:45 p.m. – R’ Ari Bergman speaking on “Yeshua and the Power of Not Giving Up”
7:45 p.m. – Minchah followed by a shiur from Rabbi Weinberger on the topic of “The Ban on Music in the Post-Churban Era”
Men, women and young adults are invited to attend all events and shiurim throughout the day.
