The top security official at the U.S. embassy in Havana was among those targeted by “sonic attacks,” reported CBS News.
The US embassy in Havana’s Regional Security Officer, a member of the State Department’s Bureau of Diplomatic Security, was among the 21 Americans hit by the mysterious sonic attacks according to two sources familiar with the incidents. The Regional Security Officer is in charge of overseeing safety and security of embassy personnel.
Cuban officials have denied involvement in the attacks, which have also hit Canadian diplomats, and offered to cooperate with the United States in investigations. Read more at The Hill.
