With appreciation to Rav Moshe Vaye of Yerushalayim, the world’s leading authority on the halachos of insect infestation and insect inspection, we provide the following excerpt from Rav Vaye’s sefer, BedikasHamazon Kehalacha, in time for Tu B’Shevat. It provides clear and concise instructions for checking fruits and vegetables.
The guide is provided thanks to Pos’tiv Produce, which has come to be known as the standard for kashrus and integrity. Pos’tiv’s state-of-the-art growing techniques, greenhouses and washing equipment allow for a fully contained and controlled system, enabling the production of guaranteed kosher product. Expert mashgichim meticulously check the product through every necessary stage of the growth process and again before and after the washing process.
We wish you a happy, kosher and bug-free Tu B’Shevat.

Matzav, please post this, you seem to have a selective posting process.
I don’t understand. cRc and Star K have disagreed with so much of this. Raisins for example. Those organizations have no problems with them, but this listing says that they are bad.
I tried to contact Pos’tiv both on the web site and phone # provided as well as trying a lookup on the web (which produced 4 listings with the same wrong phone #)
an anyone help with my question?
Is the “BUG FREE TU B’SHVAT” GUIDE for use in USA, E”Y or mixed some here and some there
(ie talk about arab produce during shmita)?
We must be as careful as what comes out of our mouth ,as to what comes into our mouth!
At this time, let’s acknowledge the “greenies” for the DDT pesticide ban that has created many of the tolayim issues that we are beset with today.
