At least two rockets were fired from the Gaza Strip on Friday evening and landed inside of Israel.

Rocket sirens were heard in southern Israeli communities of Sderot and Sha’ar Hanegev, which are adjacent to the Gaza border.

According to the IDF, the rockets landed in an open area and no injuries or damage was reported. Israeli soldiers are searching the area for the rockets.

This was the first rocket attack from Gaza since January, when five rockets were fired from the Gaza Strip with two landing inside of Israel. The Israeli Air Force struck four Hamas targets in retaliation to that attack.

Meanwhile, two IDF soldiers were also wounded in a shooting attack on Friday night near the Jewish community of Beit Horon in Judea and Samaria. Security forces were searching the area for the shooter who fled the scene.
