The United States developed a plan for a cyberattack on Iran in the event that the effort to limit nuclear proliferation in the country didn’t pan out, according to a report from The New York Times.

The plan was allegedly referred to as Nitro Zeus and would have been able to disable Iranian air defenses and communications systems.

The project has been shelved since a deal with Iran was reached last summer. Read more at The New York Times.
