chacham-ovadiah-yosefDr. Dan Gilon, who is in charge of the medical care of Chacham Ovadiah Yosef at Hadassah Ein Kerem Medical Center in Yerushalayim, provided an update today on the condition of the great gaon and posek, stating that “there is subtle improvement.”

Chacham Ovadiah’s condition is “very serious, but stable,” he said. The “underlying condition remains unchanged,” he said.

Yesterday, on Sunday, as reported earlier on Matzav.com, a massive asifas tefillah was held at the Kosel for Chacham Ovadiah’s recovery.

The hospital physicians have emphasized that Chacham Ovadiah remains in a life-threatening situation and the public is asked to keep davening for Rav Chaim Ovadiah [Yosef] ben Georgia.

Meanwhile, today, among those who visited the hospital was IDF Chief Rabbi Rafi Peretz.
