A bus carrying 30 people overturned shortly before midnight on Israel’s Highway 77, near the Zarzir Junction in the Jezreel Valley region of the Lower Galil.
The bus, from United Tours, flipped over on to its left side, killing one passenger and injuring one critically, two seriously, and about twenty others moderately.
MDA medic Daniel Mosley said, “When we arrived, we saw a bus on its side in the middle of the road and a big commotion. Many people stopped on the roadside and came from nearby locales to help. Some of the passengers who were injured were lying on the road and some were trapped in the bus. We assisted the firefighters in rescuing the injured and providing them with medical treatment there. ”
Just two and half weeks ago, a deathly accident occurred on Route 1, when Egged’s bus 402 crashed into a truck parked on the side of the road and six bus passengers were killed.
