  1. Wow, you can see those tractor trailers ripping down Madison Avenue in the background. It’s a very dangerous situation to have a highway (route 9), cut right through a heavily populated residential neighborhood. It doesn’t make any sense.

  2. Pretty neat. I love feeling that a good community is well.

The faces of most of the very young are even unshaven! How blessed to be jewish when all of our commandments are followed. Always I see many young men who shave and some permit. This is silly but if you ask me, I shaved when I was even in high school and in my repentance I realize it was an evil.

Time shows Israel will grow. We must daven and find our trust in Hashem.

  3. Stop with the shaving business This has been paskined by R Moshe and learn a little history talmidim of the Chofetz Chaim were shaven 2…

    • The discussion shouldn’t be stopped because it’s uncomfortable for some to hear. It’s clearly still chilukei daos. Yes, everyone should follow their following and if a competent Rav Paskenz it’s ok , then it’s ok. But to shut down the conversation is taking the easy ways out and cowardly. It’s still better not to shave even with a heter.

      • And yes, even with my above comment. I still think that the initiation of this conversation of shaving is highly irrelevant here as some have mentioned. Lets talk about the gevaldige Torah and achdus in this story. And of course the chessed hashem.

    • You clearly do not know your parsha. It does not say listen to a popular rabbi (my apologies as I do not know the one you mention in my eased experience). It says keep a beard and do not trim. You can certainly be encouraged by a lessened halacha if you think you can properly stand before the King. Perhaps you are in good shape in other mitzvahs. But what I have learned in my davening is that everything Torah is everything. Hashem will help many but the eye of Torah never sees a shaven face.

  4. I love it. Here we have a story posted about a bachur returning to his Yeshiva after a very trying & challenging situation and all the comments are about tractor trailers and shaving! Lol. I love it. You never know where a conversation is going to go.
