Yemen’s president and his cabinet resigned Thursday following Houthi rebels’ capture of his palace this week. President Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi had agreed to share power with the rebels earlier in the day, but apparently that’s moot.
Yemen has been a key ally in the U.S. war against al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula, allowing drone strikes there for years. Read more.
