100 Babies Born on Rosh Hashanah at Shaarei Tzedek Hospital

No less than one hundred babies were born on Rosh Hashanah at Shaare Tzedek Medical Center in Yerushalayim.

Arutz Sheva reports the breakdown: 51 girls were born and 49 boys were born.

The first baby of the year was born weighing 3.8 kilograms, the son of Hodia and Asher Klein from the Kiryat Yovel neighborhood in Yerushalayim. The Kleins immigrated to Israel seven years ago from France.

  1. This article would have more meaning, of it stated how many babies are born on regular average 2 days.

    When mentioning the 1st baby of the New Year, it isn’t clear as to what זמן was utilized for determining official commencement of the New Year.
