During divrei chizuk that Rav Don Segal delivered to 1,200 teachers on behalf of Chinuch Atzmai, he asked how young people who marry at the age of 18 – as written in the Mishnah – have the ability to educate children and raise them in the right way? Where do such young people get the wherewithal and knowledge?
The venerated mashgiach explained: “Because the love that parents have for a child is the strongest thing, raising and elevating the child, and the same with regard to rabbeim and moros, if they have love for students, it is the most powerful tool to raise the children in the right way.”
Rav Segal added that “it is precisely children who have a sixth sense that they feel these things [the loves that is expressed to them].”
