Former Department of Homeland Security chief of staff Miles Taylor had denied being the controversial “Anonymous” column writer, who blasted President Donald Trump in The New York Times.

His comments had come during an August interview on CNN, where he is a contributor.

Taylor came out Wednesday as the writer behind the 2018 column. Taylor has also anonymously written a book attacking Trump.

But in the August interview on CNN, he was asked by host Anderson Cooper if he was the anonymous writer.

“Are you aware of who that is?” Cooper asked him.

Taylor replied: “I’m not. I’ve got my own thoughts on who that might be.”

But Cooper pressed him some more, saying: “You’re not ‘Anonymous?’”

“I wear a mask for two things, Anderson: Halloween and pandemics,” Taylor said. “So, no.”
