Reuven “Ruba” Kreuzer, a well-known Meah Shearim currency exchanger, forgot a bag containing $85,000 in a cab while traveling from a bank to his office.

Struck with the realization of what had happened, he raced to the downtown Lev Habirah police station and told them what he knew of the long-gone cab.

After hours of worry, the drama came to a happy ending. When the cabby was identified as an Arab from East Yerushalayim, a few well-chosen words sent him to the police station with every banknote intact.

  1. This is a beautiful article. It teaches not to stereotype. Not every Arab is evil. Let’s give each person regardless of their color or background a chance to prove themselves as respectable and praiseworthy.

    • There used to be a saying that not every Arab is a terrorist but every terrorist is an Arab. Nowadays we know better who are behind those false flags and terrorism…

  2. Chochom! Not every person needs “a few well-chosen words” to get him to return lost money. I’m not saying I agree to this article, but it seems to reinforce a stereotype. Sorry to bust your kumbaya…
