A debate intended to feature opposing views on Israel erupted into a physical confrontation after Arab-Israeli activist Yoseph Haddad says he was attacked by an anti-Israel participant during and after the event at a U.S. studio.
Haddad traveled to the studio expecting to face a panel of anti-Israel activists, but according to his account, the individual debating him changed multiple times before the discussion began.
Eventually, YouTuber Dennis Feitosa, better known online as “Def Noodles” and associated with the Groyper movement, took a seat across from Haddad. Haddad said the exchange quickly deteriorated as Feitosa allegedly resorted to insults and attempted to provoke a physical altercation. Haddad’s fiancée, pro-Israel activist Emily Schrader, said Feitosa became increasingly agitated because Haddad repeatedly refused to fight, telling him, “I have no interest in fighting you, why would I?”
Video from inside the studio appears to show Feitosa grabbing Haddad by the arm. Haddad responded by pulling Feitosa across the table in an effort to break free from his grip.
The altercation continued outside in the studio parking lot, where tensions intensified further. Video from the scene shows one of the anti-Israel activists confronting and harassing Schrader, while others restrained Feitosa as he allegedly attempted to reach Haddad.
According to footage of the incident, Haddad briefly turned away to record a video when Feitosa broke free from those holding him and charged toward him from behind. Security personnel quickly intervened, taking Feitosa to the ground. Haddad, who served in the Golani Brigade, remained at the scene and struck Feitosa several times while he was restrained before the two men were separated. The confrontation ended with both sides continuing to exchange heated words before Haddad and those accompanying him departed.
Afterward, Haddad reflected on the incident in a social media post, writing, “This isn’t anything new. When they can’t win a verbal debate, they turn to physical confrontation…which they lose as well!”
