Bais Yaakov of Scranton Dinner to Be Held in Memory of Rav Avrohom Turin zt’’l

This year, the Bais Yaakov of Scranton, PA will be honoring its Amudai Olam Volunteers, who invest so much of their time, talent, creativity and energy for the chinuch of bnos Yisroel, at the school’s annual dinner. Their input and initiatives encompass and enhance every aspect of the school, from education to extracurricular and fundraising.

Amudai Olam Volunteers are Mrs. Nancy Ben Dov, Mrs. Vera Epshteyn, Mrs. Deborah Fink, Mrs. Etty Fink, Mrs. Gilda Franzese, Mrs. Michelle Linson, Mr. Leah Pion, Mrs. Maya Platsek, and Mrs. Suzanne Severe.

The dinner will be dedicated in memory of the school’s revered Moreh Derech, Rav Avrohom Turin zt’’l. Rabbi Turin was on the school’s Vaad Hachinuch since the school’s inception, a master Rebbi and inspiring personality who invested lev v’nefesh into generations of Bais Yaakov students for over 50 years, teaching Halacha, Hashkafa, and Navi advising them counseling them and above all setting an example of middos tovos and Yiras Shomoyim.
