President Joe Biden informed reporters on Monday that he had not arranged a meeting with Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu, following a recent incident where he was inadvertently recorded mentioning a forthcoming “come to [Yoshkah]” moment with Netanyahu.

When queried by reporters if he had scheduled a meeting with Netanyahu, Biden curtly responded, “No.” Regarding any imminent plans for such a meeting, he remarked, “We’ll see what happens.”

Addressing the possibility of speaking before the Knesset, Biden stated, “No, not at this moment,” dismissing the notion.

Over the weekend, President Biden escalated his criticism of Netanyahu, cautioning in an MSNBC interview that any Israeli action in Rafah would cross a “red line.” He also asserted that Netanyahu’s actions, particularly regarding civilian casualties, were detrimental to Israel’s interests, stating, “This is a mistake.”

Expressing his desire to revisit Israel and address the Knesset while speaking directly to the Israeli populace, Biden outlined his intentions during the interview.

Responding to inquiries about his “come to [Yoshkah]” remark, Biden clarified that it’s a phrase used to signify a serious confrontation, asserting, “Bibi knows what I meant.”

Netanyahu issued a response to Biden’s remarks on Sunday, informing Politico, “I don’t know exactly what the President meant, but if he meant by that that I’m pursuing private policies against the majority, the wish of the majority of Israelis, and that this is hurting the interests of Israel, then he’s wrong on both counts.”
