President Joe Biden issued a stark cautionary note, underscoring the potential for America’s entanglement in the tumult of the Middle East should Iran intensify its hostilities towards Israel.
In a compelling piece featured in the pages of the Wall Street Journal, President Biden implored Congress to greenlight assistance packages for both Ukraine and Israel, stressing, “Both Ukraine and Israel have valiantly defended themselves against these aggressions, steadfastly protecting their territorial integrity, buoyed by crucial support from the United States.”
Characterizing the current juncture as a “decisive crossroads,” he emphasized that “although both nations possess the capacity to safeguard their sovereignty independently, they rely on American backing, including essential weaponry, to fortify their defenses.”
Highlighting the gravity of the situation, he remarked, “Both Ukraine and Israel find themselves besieged by audacious adversaries bent on their obliteration,” citing Iran’s avowed objective to dismantle the State of Israel.
