A bull escaped from its confinement on Monday morning, causing a panic in the streets of the central Israeli city of Lod before entering an office building and eluding capture for half an hour as it scurried along the corridors.

The animal entered a branch of Bank Leumi in the city’s industrial zone, skidding along the slick floors, where people captured the action on video and shared it on social media.

The bull was eventually chased outside the office after its owner arrived to restrain it, reported Ynet. The city vet used a tranquilizer shot to knock the animal out, concluding the situation without any injury to members of the public. JNS

  1. The bull’s owner later registered a complaint with the UN and sent a letter to President Biden complaining of the violence perpetrated by the Israeli public against his bull.
He also issued the following warning to the Israeli public in a statement released Monday: “For every one of my bulls that you harm, I will send 20 more bulls to terrorize you! You will not sleep peacefully at night, knowing full well that a bull might attack you at any moment!”
The White House, however, while stopping short of condemning the violence perpetrated against the bull, nevertheless criticized Israel for “responding disproportionately to the Bull’s childish, and errant ways.”
“Chasing the Bull in the streets, pursuing him on slick floors, and using a tranquilizer shot to knock the poor fellow out, seems hugely disproportionate to me,” President Biden said in the statement. “It only serves to escalate the ongoing violence between Man and Bull.”

  2. He just wanted to make a deposit and got upset because they wouldn’t let him. Their excuse was that the Bull didn’t have proper ID. He claimed that this was discrimination, and had he been a red bull they would all be running to help.
