A Israeli religious man filed a suit against Burger King after discovering that a vegan cheeseburger he ordered was made with real cheese.

The Burger King branch at Hod Hasharon’s Azrieli mall had a kosher sign outside and the man thought he was ordering a kosher substitute the company has advertised for months that includes vegan cheddar cheese.

After his first bites, when he wondered at the genuine cheese flavor and asked how the company produced such a realistic imitation, he was flummoxed when an employee responded he was eating regular cheese.

  1. THIS CHEESEBURGER HAD MEAT AND CHEESE TOGETHER? HOW COULD THIS RESTAURANT BE KOSHER? WAS THERE A MASGIACH ON THE PREMISES? IF NOT, THE TEUDAT HECHSHER MEANS NOTHING.

  2. Hopefully this frum jew will become more observant no pun intended! How in heaven’s name do you walk into a place like that even in EY. Just because it’s In Hebrew doesn’t mean it’s kosher. They are the worst!

To this person I say, open your eyes and observe the world! Observe where you are! Observe what you eat! Look at the teuda, something you obviously did not do.

  3. Did a Ruv observe him eat this chazer-treif drech? …………… Then it’s OK! It was under Rabbinical Supervision!.

  4. Was it a vegan burger with real cheese or a meat burger with real cheese? If its vegan then even if the cheese was real the burger is basically pareve (considerations of keilim –and the kashrus of the various ingredients–aside).
What kind of lawyer did he get to take this case?
