Former President Donald Trump plans to surrender to local authorities in Fulton County, Georgia at some point Thursday, he confirmed on Truth Social Monday night after it was first reported by CNN. His attorneys were in court Monday to negotiate the terms of his bond—which was ultimately set at $200,000. Later during that same hearing, his team set the date for his surrender, the network reported.
Trump is accused of violating the state’s Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act by conspiring to overturn the 2020 presidential election results.
“Can you believe it? I’ll be going to Atlanta, Georgia, on Thursday to be ARRESTED by a Radical Left District Attorney, Fani Willis, who is overseeing one of the greatest Murder and Violent Crime DISASTERS in American History,” Trump raged, before defiantly maintaining his innocence. “This is in strict coordination with Crooked Joe Biden’s DOJ.
